Children don’t typically have years of bad diets and lack of exercise…
For the most part they are fit and healthy! So we tend to see very different patterns of injury and illness in young children and babies in comparison to adults.
In this Children’s First Aid Training Course we describe some of those key anatomical differences that may affect your management of a sick or injured child. We show you practical tips and tricks that paramedics use to effectively treat a child with minimal distress to the child (and you!).
This ACECQA approved training is applicable across any childcare and/ or education setting, and complies with only the most up-to-date guidelines in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
Performance tasks and Practical scenarios:
Theory assessment – A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions. The student must successfully complete all assessment questions.
